10 things you need to know about Jessica Lowndes:
She had her hair chopped for the part of Adrianna in 90210. “A month after the audition, they called and were like, “Hey, can you chop all your hair off?” It was only meant to be two weeks of work, it was a little intense and crazy”.
Playing a drug-addict teen who gets pregnant is all part of the day job. “I feel fortunate as an actress to be given such great story lines like the lesbian one recently [she snogged Hollywood royalty on screen in the form of Bruce'n'Demi's daughter Rumer Willis].
Her first job was as a singing teacher. “I’ve been singing since I was three, writing music since I was 16, and my mum is a piano teacher”.
Quitting high school for life in LA was easy. “I knew I wanted to sing and act. I was always performing silly videos in the back yard, so when I told my parents I didn’t want to go back to high school, they were totally okay. My dad drove to LA with me the day I got my driver’s licence”.
There’s an album in the pipeline. “My character on 90210 sings on the show and now has a record deal, but I’m also currently recording an album. Next time I come to London, I’m recording with the UK band Stateless”.
She writes her own songs. “I write poetry every day and some of the songs come naturally from poems. I’d call my style now pop-rock”.
She learnt to fly for her new film, thriller Altitude. “When I opened the script and saw I was supposed to be flying a plane, I took lessons. I wasn’t allowed to technically fly, as I didn’t have my licence, but I learnt all the procedures”.
Her best friend is a make-up artist. “She taught me about cheek stains. You can put a little on your cheeks, dab it on your lips, and even on your eyelids – it makes you look more awake”.
She’s sussed her lipstick faves. “The Dolce & Gabbana red is the perfect red. The Nars Indian Red is fantastic – it stays on all day”.
Her trip to London didn’t break the bank. “While I was staying here, I spent so many hours in Topshop. I got tops, sundresses and ballet flats. Primark’s great too. I got camisoles for just 1.50 each – you can wear them under anything”.

Wow, she looks so great!
