On 90210, season two concluded with Adrianna heading off for the summer on tour. In real life, actress Jessica Lowndes will be releasing her own album this fall. It’s a case of reality meeting fiction, and it’s one of the topics Lowndes spoke to TV Fanatic about this week. Excerpts from the interview are below…

You were recording during the show’s break. What can we expect from that?
It’s been incredible. During hiatus I started putting together an album, which is fantastic. I got to record a lot in LA and London and I teamed up with this pop artist from the UK called Ironik. We have a single coming out on October 25 in London, we just shot the music video for that.

Where is Adrianna when the show comes back?
My character is no longer in high school, she’s now touring and doing the rock star thing and is definitely a lot stronger this season. I’ve been singing since I was three; it’s the one thing in Adrianna’s life that I can totally relate to.

Rumer Willis joined The CW’s drama 90210 for several episodes as Gia, a gay teen making moves on Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes). This week, Adrianna finally reciprocated those feelings with a kiss. What’s next for 90210’s new love birds? We got the scoop from Adrianna herself.

Jessica Lowndes started the series as a recurring character for the first few episodes, as “No Drama” Adrianna. She became a series regular and now stars in one of the show’s most talked about storylines. Adrianna also sings in the band The Gloria Steinems, featuring some of Lowndes’ own music.

We spoke with Lowndes by phone on April 1. 90210 airs Tuesdays on The CW.

Q: How is Adrianna’s plan of no drama going for her?

Jessica Lowndes: [Laughs] No Drama Adrianna lasted for maybe half an episode. She’s somebody that has a very addictive personality, as you guys have seen in season one and now season two. She’s addicted to the highs and the lows and essentially the drama of it all. She’s also somebody that truly needs to experience things for herself. Somebody can’t just say, “No, you shouldn’t do that.” She has to truly go through it and either hit rock bottom or learn by her mistakes by truly experiencing it. That’s another aspect to her personality. She’s also somebody that if things were just sailing smoothly and okay, she gets very bored. Yeah, there’s definitely a lot more drama to be had with her but that doesn’t mean she isn’t happy. I know a lot of people ask, “When is she going to just find her happiness.” I think she is truly happy. I think that’s just a characteristic of who she is.

On what Adriana’s relationship with Gia is like…

It seems that Adriana and Gia bond over their mutual interest in the Blaze and the fact that they’re both in AA. Jessica Lowndes says that, “They have a lot in common and she’s there for her when no-one else is. They have an amazing connection and it’s a beautiful friendship that develops.”

On Adriana’s sexual orientation…

Lowndes thinks that due to the closeness that Adrianna feels with Gia, she is questioning her sexuality. “She likes the closeness she feels with Gia and it doesn’t matter what gender that person is – Gia makes her feel good,”Lowndes explains.

On how the relationship starts…

“Gia’s in a situation with her ex-girlfriend, so Adrianna gives her a little kiss, then it develops into something more!” Lowndes exclaims.

First off, I’m so sorry for the lack of updates here on the site. I have been working almost 60 hours each week for the past three so my online time has been very limited. But I hope that I can make it up to you by the new layout that I’ve added! I know it’s a bit summer-y, but I thought we need some brightness this time around. Actress Jenna Elfman will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. The Los Angeles native stars in the upcoming CBS comedy, “Accidentally on Purpose,” which premieres on Monday, September 21. Elfman is best known for her role as Dharma in the hit series “Dharma & Greg,” for which she won a Golden Globe Award, three Emmy Award nominations, and two TV Guide Awards.

Actress Jessica Lowndes will sing God Bless America. Lowndes stars in the new version of the hit drama, “90210,” which is currently in its second season on the CW network. Also an aspiring singer-songwriter, Jessica’s song “Goodbye” was featured prominently in an episode of the CBS series “Moonlight.”

Fans can donate new and used baseball and softball equipment to the Baseball Tomorrow Fund Equipment Drive at all stadium entrances on Saturday and Sunday. The Baseball Tomorrow Fund (BTF) is a joint initiative between MLB and the MLB Players Association whose mission is to promote and enhance the growth of youth participation in baseball and softball around the world by funding programs, fields, coaches’ training, and the purchase of uniforms and equipment.

The Dodgers Dream Foundation silent auction will benefit the Manny Mota International Foundation on Saturday. The auction will be held on the club level outside of the Vin Scully press box from 11:40 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.

After the game, fans with tickets in the Baseline Box Clubs can join KABC’s Ken Levine and Josh Suchon for live DodgerTalk in the third base club.
