Jessica Lowndes Stars in ‘Someday at Christmas’

Great American Family is continuing to rollout their slate of original holiday movies. Jessica Lowndes, Paul Greene and seven-time Grammy winner Gladys Knight will star in “Someday at Christmas,” set to premiere this November. Production begins today on the film, which marks the reunion of Knight with former Motown chief, writer-producer Suzanne de Passe.

“Great American Christmas,” the network’s franchise, will return with a new slate of original holiday movies premiering every Saturday and Sunday on October 21. Christmas movies will air all day and all night through the end of 2022.

This marks Greene’s first appearance on Great American Family. The “When Calls the Heart” star is a staple on Hallmark Channel, leading nine of their movies since 2015. This year, he will also appear in CBS’ holiday movie, “Fit for Christmas,” alongside Amanda Kloots.

In February, Lowndes signed a four-picture deal to star in, write, direct and executive produce original films for Great American Family. She’s already worked on multiple movies for the network, including producing and starring in the first original film to air on the network, “Autumn Romance.”

She will also perform some original holiday songs throughout the film, which she wrote with Aaron G. Edwards, Lowndes is repped by Aperture Entertainment, Deb Dillstone, A3 Artists Agency and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.

Jessica Lowndes New Album “Elemental”

Canadian music, TV, and film star Jessica Lowndes shares her debut album “ELEMENTAL,” followed by the comprehensive visual album on September 16, 2022.

[…]

A reflective new album laced with supple melodies and soul-baring introspection; it features seven different songs that combine to form a 30-minute short to tell her story. She employs the natural elements (earth, water, air and fire) to convey the emotions of the stories she tells, each with a different element. Jessica’s production has evolved into a spicy back and forth, and this project highlights the essence of sound that she has spent time fine-tuning as she explores the journey of love, loss, and redemption.

Jessica uses her considerable storytelling abilities to sort through the weight of searching for love, romantic uncertainty and rediscovering self, throughout the entire project.

Jessica covers the Winter 2018 issue of Luxury Life

Adrianna Tate-Duncan, her famed character on 90210, was a hardcore drug addict, and it’s a testament to her acting ability that someone as fresh-faced and untroubled as Jessica Lowndes could make her so believable. The talented Canadian actress and singer, who originally appeared as a guest on the show but was made a permanent member of the cast by popular demand, hails from Vancouver, British Columbia. A born entertainer who started performing at a young age, Lowndes has appeared in numerous TV shows and movies, including the 2014 action flick The Prince with Bruce Willis and John Cusack.

Lowndes, a naturally gorgeous brunette with 750,000 Instagram followers (@jessicalowndes), has also written several hit songs, and is now putting her fame to good use, launching a charitable clothing initiative that she discusses here in detail for the first time. And it’s only a matter of time before Lowndes lands a really big role worthy of her talents and truly becomes a household name, but we think she’ll always be the down to earth girl from Canada who almost seems too innocent for Hollywood.

How did you get to be comfortable in front of a camera and on stage at such a young age? Where does your confidence come from?

My dad always says “whatever you can conceive and you truly believe you will achieve”. My parents have never held me back from anything and I’m extremely grateful to have such an awesome support system. I was a very expressive, outgoing kid. Singing to strangers in Speedos (yes, there’s an embarrassing home video) and always living in my own dream world of make believe— from building forts and talking to myself to flipping my imaginary fins like Ariel from The Little Mermaid, making up my own songs and dressing my Barbies up to go to the Oscars… I always had to be doing something creative and my Dad was always there with his video camera to document every second of it.

Jessica Talks “90210” Past

Jessica Lowndes talks ‘90210’ past: ‘It was so unexpected’

Jessica Lowndes has only fond memories of her days playing Adrianna Tate-Duncan on “90210,” the CW’s reboot of “Beverly Hills, 90210.”

“For me, I was a guest star and I was supposed to be initially in two episodes and two weeks of work… The fact that it turned into over a 115 is like insane and such an incredible experience,” the 28-year-old told Fox News.

She said the show thrust her into the spotlight at the perfect time.

“I had just moved to LA and it was so unexpected,” she recalled. “I had so much fun. I got to dive into so many pressing issues. My character had a lot of drama, so as an actress, it was really fun to play. The whole thing was a highlight to me. It was so not what I thought it was going to be and it turned into being so much more.”

“90210” ran on The CW for five seasons. Lowndes said she learned a lot from the teen series.

“There are days when you are exhausted, tired and having to wake up at 3:30 in the morning to get to set on time, and I feel like soaking in every moment of it because everything great does come to an end. So for me, I’m so happy I did that. There were days when I was so tired but you just look around and appreciate what is going on.”

Lowndes was at The Beverly Wilshire on Thursday to support the Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai Annual Spring Luncheon.

“It’s super important to come together as women,” she said of the event. “I recently took a stand in our fight against misogyny… I challenged women to take off their makeup and to either post a video or make a selfie and nominate other women in their life to do the same. For me it’s not an anti-makeup sort of thing; I love wearing makeup… It’s a way for girls to celebrate who they are and be confident and to feel beautiful. With everything going on right now, there is so much cyber-bullying and for me it’s so powerful every time someone posts these pictures.”

Lowndes said her main goal is to be happy.

“… To me, happiness is what success is. I love what I do; I love to act; I love to sing, but for me it’s about… loving the people that mean the most to me. I surround myself with really good people. I talk to my family; I get out of town if I need a break, and I recharge my batteries. For me, that is the whole thing… It’s about being happy with who you are and where you are at more than anything else.”

90210 to End Five-Year Run in May

The CW is relocating 90210 to the big zip code in the sky.

TVLine has learned exclusively that the network has decided to end the ’90s reboot in May after five seasons.

The closure-filled series finale, which will likely be paired with a retrospective, is set to air on Monday, May 13.

Less-than-zippy ratings led to The CW’s call, as 90210 this season alone slid from a million viewers and a 0.5 demo rating (with its opener) to, at last tally, under 600,000 viewers and a 0.3, shedding a significant chunk of its Carrie Diaries lead-in.

90210, a continuation of the 10-season cultural phenom Beverly Hills, 90210, launched to much fanfare in 2008 — with Jennie Garth among the original cast members who, for a time, reprised their roles in the new incarnation.

Jessica Lowndes round out the cast in “A Mother’s Nightmare”

Grant Gustin is going from Fox’s Glee to a Lifetime movie. The actor, who plays bad boy Sebastian on the Fox musical dramedy, has been tapped to star in the Lifetime telefilm A Mother’s Nightmare, opposite Annabeth Gish and Jessica Lowndes, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Shelley Gillen penned the pic, which revolves around Chris Stewart (Gustin), a handsome and athletic 16-year-old depressed over his parents’ breakup and cheerleader girlfriend’s defection. When a new girl, Vanessa (90210’s Lowndes) arrives, she works her seductive wiles on Chris, accusing him of assault when he tries to pull back from their relationship. Gish will play his mother.

Larry Gershman and Meyer Shwarzstein executive produce. The film is set to begin production next week in West Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. An air date has not yet been determined.

For Gustin, the role marks his latest small-screen credit for the actor, who could potentially end up series regular on the fourth season of Glee.
